An oil boiler heats water through burning oil, which then circulates to provide heating and hot water for your home. The oil is stored in an external tank and supplied to the boiler as needed, offering a reliable alternative for properties not connected to a gas network.

Oil boilers are highly efficient and can heat water quickly, which means lower running costs compared to some other systems. They are also ideal for homes in rural areas or off-grid locations where access to gas is limited.

Internal oil boilers are suitable if you have enough indoor space and prefer a compact setup within your home. External oil boilers are a good option if space indoors is limited or if you want to reduce noise indoors, as these units are installed outside.

Key factors include available space, fuel storage, ventilation, and noise control. Your choice of boiler type and placement will depend on these factors, as well as the heating demands of your household.

The installation time varies but typically takes 1-2 days for most homes. The timeframe depends on factors such as the complexity of the installation, the boiler model, and any additional work required to connect the system to your home’s heating network.
Yes, modern oil boilers are designed to be energy-efficient, with many achieving efficiencies of over 90%. This helps reduce fuel consumption and lowers heating costs. Regular servicing can also improve efficiency over the boiler’s lifespan.
Oil boilers should be serviced annually to ensure safe and efficient operation. Regular servicing can also help extend the life of your boiler and identify potential issues before they become costly repairs.
While oil is a fossil fuel, modern oil boilers are designed for maximum efficiency, reducing fuel usage and emissions. You can further reduce environmental impact by choosing biofuels or blends, which are available in some areas as a more sustainable option
